Ahaha, I’m not even sure if I got the meaning of the title (grammatically)correct, but oh well! There has been some crazy, CRAZY Avex fever on YouTube for this last week! Last minute auditions, watching, commenting, rating, comparing of auditions. I… auditioned too. >_>;; I was actually notified of the audition by Yasmine or JapanXGirl on YT, and I thank you so much for telling me! <333 Noting from how many YTers and H!P dubbers, I probably would have found out sooner or later, but I found out much earlier from Yasmine. <33
I will talk about my audition:
I won’t be revealing the song I sang, unless for some strange and silly reason I pass the first audition round. O_O That would be CRAZY. I sang the song in one shot, and I was actually pretty happy with it. (That was my first time recording while standing up: I took a music stand (LOL) and then a kleenex box (LOLLL) and thing of burnable CDS (LOLx10) and stood my mic on it. I was able to adjust how high I needed the microphone, but if I accidentally nudged the stand, it would slip down (the stuff was actually happy and I applaud the music stand for not falling when left alone <3). I wore these headphones that cover your ears (Logitech USB kind) and printed out the lyrics (usually I sit at the computer and read off the computer while recording) and held it up while I sang. My head is strangely shaped, and I couldn’t use my hands to adjust the headphones on my head because they would half slip off, because the other hand held onto the pop filter which I bought for cheap and has a big butterfly clip that who knows where you clip on to.
Onto the actual audition: Were we supposed to sing live on camera? O_O;; Because… I was planning to, but then I read the “rules” on the auditioning page again, it talked about linking the url to the videos/SOUNDS. …Or maybe I’m screwed now because that was meant for the composers only? >_O;; (I can’t imagine dancers needing to send in audio, lol.) But if you think about it, singers would have to send in pictures of their full body and upper half, so they’ll know what you look like anyways (along with weight and height…). Right??? (I just linked to a YT video with sound pretty much)
So, the song I sang will not have the title revealed unless I someday feel like it… >_>;; BUT, I am proud of it- I don’t think I’ve ever sang such a good oneshot before. O_O I was actually picking through Yura Yura by Hearts Grow (one of the Naruto openings?), LOVE GUN by Aya Hirano and Ame no Furanai Hoshi de wa Aisenai Darou by Morning Musume. But then I chose a song I hadn’t even thought of once to use. It was weird, but it was like the perfect song. O_O But it’s not by an Avex artist, so I’m wondering if that will go over okay… I actually… don’t listen to Avex artists, really. >_<;; I have a few songs on my iPod, but not really. ;-; I feel really horrible, but my sister does have quite a few Japanese CDs that are by Avex artists, surprisingly (she isn’t gung-ho about Japanese stuff and shunned me when I tried to tell her about the audition). BUT, the first anime I saw and acknowledged as anime was Inuyasha, which had all(?) of its songs sung by Avex artists! 8D;;b
I hope it’s acceptable and I have my fingers crossed. >_<;;b But I think that may work against me because I sent in some pretty crappy pictures. O_O Like, I asked my mom to take a few pictures, but she loves me so much she didn’t want to tell me how bad I looked. I guess they were acceptable photos? .-. I hope… I left the song acapella (I was afraid I would screw up if I put it with music because I do something special to vocals when I mix with music), and while it doesn’t sound as cool, it still sounds ok. 8D;;b I hope I find out soon if I made it or not. If anyone else does, please let me know! *_*b
